These terms cover use of the YEAR website, desktop app, and one-time Pro license.

License grant
- - Free tier is for evaluation with feature limits.
- - Pro is a one-time personal license for one user.
- - Pro activation supports up to 2 devices per user.
- - You may not resell, sublicense, or redistribute the app binaries.
Payments and refunds
- - Checkout and payment processing are handled by Gumroad.
- - New Pro purchases include a 14-day refund window.
- - Chargeback abuse or fraudulent activity may suspend license access.
Acceptable use
- - Use YEAR only for content you are authorized to process.
- - Do not attempt to bypass license, security, or usage controls.
- - Do not use YEAR in ways that violate local law or policy.
Updates and support
- - We may ship bug fixes and quality updates.
- - Feature roadmap and delivery dates are not guaranteed.
- - Support is provided via hello@yearapp.com and the support pages.
Warranty disclaimer and liability
YEAR is provided as-is without warranties of uninterrupted service, perfect transcription accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose.
To the maximum extent allowed by law, YEAR is not liable for indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages, including data loss, business interruption, or workflow delays.
